Device compatibility

Elva uses Bluetooth version 5.0 which is compatible with a wide range of Bluetooth devices. The paired device does not need to be the same version, but similar versions are more likely to maintain a strong connection.

Signal interference

Some wireless devices may interfere with each others' signals, such as WiFi-routers, smartwatches, other Bluetooth devices, etc. If they operate within the same frequency, you may experience interference such as dropped sound and glitching. The easiest way to locate the cause of interference is by maintaining one connection between devices at the same time or taking your Elva and connected device outdoors to see if the interference clears.

Elva can be up to a maximum of 10 meters (49 ft) from the paired device, but the connection may break if they are blocked by walls or similar objects.

Elva - User guide - Button controls

Elva has three control buttons that allow you to control certain features on your paired device.

Some apps, however, may not be compatible with the button controls. In this case, you are only able to control playback and calls via the paired device.

The Elva can be charged with a USB-A to C cable included in the packaging.

You can also charge your Sudio Elva by simply pulling off the part of the control panel which has 3 buttons on, and connecting it directly to your PC or laptop.

Battery level indicators

When the battery level is low, the LED light indicator on the back of the controller will glow red.

Elva - Features - Active Noise Cancellation (ANC)

Elva features two audio modes that let you decide what you want to hear - and what you don't want to hear. These two modes are called Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), and Normal (Off) mode.

The Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) mode in Elva reduces outside noise which allows you to fully immerse yourself in your own world.

How to switch between the modes

The earbuds are in Normal (Off) mode by default, where background noise is neither reduced nor amplified. By pressing the middle button twice quickly you can turn on/off ANC on your Sudio Elva. You will hear "Noise cancelling" when you activate ANC and the earbud will beep when you turn it off.

Elva - Features - Water Resistance Rating (IPX5)

Elva is a device with a level 5 water protection rating, which means that the earbuds are water-resistant. At this level, the earbuds can handle exposure to low-pressure water jet spray. IPX is an official rating that is awarded by an assessment conducted by a third-party organization. Sudio Elva is also completely sweat-proof and can be used during exercise.

However, for an IPX 5 rating, we would like to communicate that there is no guarantee that the earbuds will remain in full operation after activities like swimming or showering with them.

Elva - Features - Wireless Adapter (Flyg)

Sudio Elva's Wireless Adapter (Flyg) is a Bluetooth transmitter that allows you to maintain a wireless Bluetooth connection with devices that only support analog audio transmissions, such as in-flight entertainment systems or handheld gaming consoles.

Flyg was designed to be used with Sudio Elva and is included in the product packaging, but it is compatible with all our wireless devices and can be purchased separately on our website here.

Unsure how Flyg works? You can find more information regarding it in our Help Center.
