Before getting started
⚠️ Sudio Ett is delivered with a protective film covering the charging connectors between the earbuds and charging case. The film needs to be removed in order for the earbuds to charge.
The earbuds will likely have some existing battery charge, however it is recommended to fully charge Ett before using it for the first time.
Turning Ett on or off
Ett powers up as soon as the earbuds are removed from the charging case, as indicated by the LED lights on the earbuds and the audio feedback 🔈 Pairing.
Similarly, Ett is turned off when placing the earbuds back into the case.
You can also use the button controls to power the earbuds off. Do this by holding the button for 7 seconds on either earbud.
Pairing with a device
Ett enters pairing mode when the earbuds are removed from the charging case. Open the Bluetooth settings on your device and wait for Ett and the device to locate each other, then select Sudio Ett when it appears in the list. You will hear 🔈 Pairing Successful, confirming that the devices are paired with each other!
Charging the batteries
There are three batteries in total on Ett; one in the charging case and one in each earbud.
The Ett earbuds charge their batteries automatically when placed inside the charging case, this is indicated by the LED lights on the front of the charging case, the left and right LED lights will be white and blinking. Make sure to first remove the protective film which is covering the charging connectors.
The Ett case is charged with a Type-C USB-cable. When the case is charging, you will see lights in the front of the charging case. It is recommended to use the Sudio Type-C USB-cable that's included in the package, but the charging case may be compatible with third-party Type-C USB-cables as well.
Restoring Ett to factory settings
If Ett is behaving unexpectedly or you simply wish to restore it to its original settings, then you can reset it. You may then proceed with pairing Ett again.
Pairing Ett with a device
- Remove the Ett earbuds from the charging case and fit them inside your ears.
- Go into the Bluetooth settings on your device. The Ett earbud LED lights are flashing white and red while scanning for available devices.
- For iOS (iPhone), go to the Settings app and select Bluetooth.
- For Android, go to the Settings app, then select Connections followed by Bluetooth.
- For Windows 10, click on the Start button, select Settings followed by Devices, and then Bluetooth and other devices.
- For macOS, go to the System Preferences app and select Bluetooth.
- Locate and select Sudio Ett in the Bluetooth list on your device.
- When paired you will hear the audio feedback 🔈 Pairing Successful.
If you would like to use only one of the earbuds, you can do so by just taking out the one you want to use from the charging case.
If Ett has previously been paired with your preferred device, simply remove the earbuds from the charging case and they will automatically connect, so long as Bluetooth is activated on the device and Ett has not been paired with a different device more recently.
Device compatibility
Ett uses Bluetooth version 5.0 which is compatible with a wide range of Bluetooth devices. The paired device does not need to be the same version, but similar versions are more likely to maintain a strong connection.
Signal interference
Some wireless devices may interfere with each others' signals, such as WiFi-routers, smartwatches, other Bluetooth devices, etc. If they operate within the same frequency, you may experience interference such as dropped sound and glitching. The easiest way to locate the cause of interference is by maintaining one connection between devices at the same time or take your Ett and connected device outdoors to see if the interference clears.
Ett can be up to a maximum of 10 meters (32 ft) from the paired device, but the connection may break if they are blocked by walls or similar objects.
Pairing with multiple devices
Ett can remember up to 8 paired devices, which means that you don't have to follow the pairing step every time you switch between devices. When Ett is turned on, it will automatically connect to the device most recently connected.
If you want to reconnect to one of your previously paired devices, please disconnect Ett first from the device you are currently using, and click "Sudio Ett" in the wireless connection list of the next device you want to connect. Ett supports multi-pairing, but you can only play audio from one device at a time.
Ett has a control button on each earbud that allows you to control certain features on your paired device.

Ett has three built-in batteries; one inside the charging case and one in each earbud. The battery inside the case is used to charge the earbuds, while the included USB Type-C cable is used to charge the case.
⚠️ Sudio Ett is delivered with a protective film covering the charging connectors between the earbuds and charging case. The film needs to be removed in order for the earbuds to charge.
Charging and play times
The earbuds can be used for approximately 6 hours on one charge, with up to 30 hours in total before the case needs to be recharged.
While ANC is activated, the earbuds can be used for approximately 4 hours on one charge, with up to 20 hours in total before the case needs to be recharged.
Each battery takes approximately 60 minutes to fully charge. Sudio Ett also supports quick charging, 15 minutes of charging gives 1 hour of playtime.
Charging methods
The Ett case can be charged with a USB Type-C cable but wireless charging is also supported. We recommend using the Sudio cable included in the package, however, other third-party USB Type-C cables may be compatible too.
Our product Sudio Ladd+ is compatible with Ett for wireless charging.
Battery level indicators
There are four LED lights on the front of the charging case.
The LED lights on the charging case indicate the remaining battery level of the charging case. The LED lights will be on when you take out the earbuds or put them back into the charging case.

Charging the earphones in the charging case
Put the earbuds inside the case in order to charge their individual batteries.
- When the left earbud is placed inside the case, the left-most LED light on the case will light up for a few seconds, indicating that the left earbud is connected to the case and charging successfully.
- When the right earbud is placed inside the case, the right-most LED light on the case will light up for a few seconds, indicating that the right earbud is connected to the case and charging successfully.
- If any or both of the earbuds are fully charged when they are placed inside the case, the LED lights on the case remain turned off.
You can also check the remaining battery of the Ett earbuds on your mobile device.
For iOS devices, you are able to see the battery status on the home screen widget. If you do not have the widget, you can edit home screen settings to add it.
For Android devices, you are able to see the battery icon on the screen, there is also a variety of third-party Android app for reading battery levels on connected devices.
If Sudio Ett is not charging properly
In some cases, the charging pins inside the case scratch the receiving pole on the earphone, leaving residue that could potentially break the connection. Gently wipe the charging pin and receiving pole with a dry cloth or a swab and try charging the earphones again. The Sudio Care Kit is ideal for this, as it comes with all tools necessary to keep your Ett in tip-top condition!
If the earphones lose battery faster than usual, follow the instructions below:
- Take out both earphones from the charging case and charge the case with the included cable separately until full.
- Make sure the cable is fully inserted into the case and that there is no dust or dirt blocking the port. Note that inserting the cable forcefully can cause permanent damage to the cable and/or case.
- Use the charging cable included in the product packaging and check that the cable is working correctly.
- Try to get power from a different source i.e. laptop charging port or from a wall outlet.
- If you have other Type C USB-cables, consider trying these and see if there is any difference.
Cleaning your earphones on a regular basis will ensure the best possible sound performance and prevent them from wearing out sooner than expected.
Use only a slightly damp cloth when cleaning the earbuds and/or case. You can also use a fine brush or cotton swab to gently clean the earbuds and inside the case, avoiding damage to the charging connectors (copper pins). Avoid using alcohol or chemicals, as this can damage the rubber coating on the earbuds and case. In some cases, being exposed to strong sunshine or high heat might alter the form of the silicon material.
Psst, the Sudio Care Kit is ideal for regular maintenance and includes all the tools you need to keep your Sudio earphones in shape!
Light-colored earphones always need to be treated with a bit of extra care.
Keep in mind that with time, some discoloration may eventually appear. This is most common if the earbuds or charging case continue to come in contact with dirty surfaces or materials over extended periods of time.
Ett features three audio features, Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), Transparency mode and Normal (Off) mode.
The Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) feature in Ett reduces outside noise which allows you to fully immerse yourself in your own world.
Transparency mode works the opposite way and instead amplifies sounds in the background, enabling your spatial awareness. With this, you can stay alert to your surroundings without having to take out an earbud, or simply hear your own voice while on a phone call.
As soon as your phone recognizes that a phone call is incoming, Ett will automatically pause what you are listening and switch to transparency mode, then let you decide whether to answer the phone call or not.
The transparency mode will be on during the call regardless of use of ANC. When you end the phone call, Ett goes back to normal mode or ANC mode depending on how you were using the earbuds before the call.
How does Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) work?
The mechanics behind Active Noise Cancellation is in its name. The built-in microphones on Ett listen to the noise outside the earbuds while using the speaker to emit the same noise - but inverted - inside, reducing the outside noise nearly entirely. The ANC in Ett uses Feed Forward technology, which uses the microphone on the outside of the earbud to forward noise to the internal processor.
Feed Forward technology works best when used in surroundings that have a static low-frequency noise, for example in transportation (cars, public transport, or airplanes). However, you may not notice a significant difference with high-frequency noise (such as people talking) or if the noise is irregular.
Ett is a device with a level 5 water protection rating, which means that the earbuds are water-resistant. At this level, the earbuds can handle exposure to low-pressure water jet spray. IPX is an official rating that is awarded by an assessment conducted by a third party organization. Ett is also completely sweat-proof and can be used during exercise.
However, for an IPX 5 rating, we would like to communicate that there is no guarantee that the earbuds will remain in full operation after activities like swimming or showering with them.
While the earbuds have IPX5 protection, the charging case is not waterproof. If you touch the charging case with wet hands or put earbuds in the charging case while they are not completely dry, the product might be damaged. Unfortunately, if the earphones are damaged in these cases, they will not be considered a manufacturing defect and will not be eligible for replacement through our warranty.
If your Ett is behaving unexpectedly or you are having difficulty pairing, follow the steps below to perform a factory reset.
- Turn off Bluetooth on your device.
- "Forget" the earphones in your Bluetooth settings on your device. Ett should no longer be synced. If you have connected Ett to multiple devices, forget Ett from all of the devices.
- Put both the earbuds back into the case.
- Lift the left earbud out of the case, press the button on the left earbud 8 times, then leave it out of the case.
- Now lift out the right earbud and press the button on the right earbud 8 times.
- Both earbuds should now be flashing red and white quickly. If not, repeat steps 3-5.
- Press both buttons twice at the same time.
- Put the earphones back in the case and wait for 30 seconds.
- Sudio Ett is now reset. Follow the pairing instructions to pair it to your device.
Yes, you can use one Ett earbud on its own for both playback and calls. Both earbuds have the same components (speakers and microphones), which means that you can use either the left or right earbud at your leisure.
If you would like to use only one of the earbuds, you can do so by just taking out the one you want to use from the charging case.
It’s always a good idea to charge both earbuds until full after having used them separately to maintain the same battery levels.
The Ett case can be charged with a USB Type-C cable but wireless charging is also supported.
Our product Sudio Ladd+ is compatible with Ett for wireless charging.*
*Please note that Sudio Ladd+ itself is not wireless, it needs to be attached to a cable in order to wirelessly charge your Sudio Ett.
